A Paradise ambassador's recent backcountry touring adventure to the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc ski area in France. Skiing legendary objectives such as the Vallée Blanche descent, Dent du Géant (“Tooth of the Giant”), and the Vallée Noir.

Last season, Paradise Athlete Paul Fotter tore his ACL and meniscus while skiing in a remote backcountry area. He and his partners had to manage a self-rescue. Here's how Paul and his team built an emergency sled using skis and gear typically carried in a backcountry backpack.
